Dear Parents, We would both like to offer you a very warm welcome to The Crescent Academy. This is a wonderful school and we are very proud to be Principals here. We have such polite and hardworking children and marvellous members of staff. We encourage all of our parents to become a part of our rich and welcoming family. Mr Alston and Mrs Williams
Explanation of role:
Isaac Vanderpuye (Year 5)
Jack Reilly (Year 6)
We organised different sports events or supported the running of sports events. To be part of this committee, children needed to be creative, reliable, trustworthy and enthusiastic about sport.
During different sports events we had to create and organise various things such as; advertising posters, organising the teams, layout of the pitches, the order of play, equipment, referees, coaches and training sessions.
The committee organised a Year 6 dodgeball competition and have also helped in other events (Football festivals, sports days, change 4 life after school club etc).
Jack Reilly: Being part of this committee, I’ve gained teachers trust by being reliable and helping them out on many occasions. This has helped me to develop my organisation skills and also proven that I can be a team player.
Isaac Vanderpuye: I feel all alot more confident now. Before, I wouldn’t feel confident enough to tell older children how to play certain games and organise them. Whereas now I can organise activities without hesitation.
