Tanglewood at Cannock Chase
Year 2 had a wonderful adventure at 'Tanglewood' at Cannock Chase.
We braved the rainy weather and explored the woods to find out about habitats of the animals that live there; squirrel, birds, hare, slugs, woodlouse and millipedes to name a few. We caught mini beasts and looked at them closely through magnifying glasses, made a habitat for a woodland creature and hid a pinecone just like a squirrel would hide food for the Winter - most of us found them later in the day!
In the afternoon we used clay to make a mould of an animal print, the poured plaster on and left in to dry - we got to take our prints home to share with our families. We finished our day with a fun game of bug bingo, we all shouted BINGO!!!
