This must be the best trip we have ever had! Year 5 travelled for an overnight stay in York as part of our Anglo-Saxons and Vikings unit.
This half term, Year 5 travelled to York. We had so much fun! We visited the amazing Jorvik Viking Centre when we arrived, before going off to take part in an archaeological dig. Whilst there, we met an Anglo-Saxon, who taught us all about medicine during the time and he cured some of us of our ailments. We also visited Cliffords Tower, the National Railway Museum and York Minster on the trip. We loved staying in the Holiday Inn and the public thought we were the best school groups they had ever seen! We made great memories on our first ever residential and it was great to get ‘out and about’!
