Class Visits

Year 2 had a wonderful day visiting the river Dove that runs through Ilam.

We enjoyed a picnic outside, sketching what we could see around us and played poo sticks from the bridge. But what was the most exciting was that we were the first ever year group to have a school sleep over in our classrooms!

We started the evening with a delicious tea and then enjoyed a fun game of inflatable dodge ball before we headed over to the allotment for a story or two around the campfire. It was so cosy and warm.

Once back in our building we got our pj's on, rolled out our sleeping bags and enjoyed a hot chocolate with marsh mallows and a cookie. We ended our night with a movie and then dozed off and had a good nights sleep dreaming of what we would do the next day.

The next day was just as exciting. We had a deliciuos breakfast and Mr Clewes treated us to some pop tarts! We took part in lots of fun, team games, before chilling with a bit of rock painting before heading home to tell our families of our adventures!
