Class Visits

Year 1 had a wonderful adventure at Stafford Castle - we became part of the army, wore our tabards and charged the castle with our swords.

We loved exploring the old castle-climbing the steps to look through the slit windows, peeping through keyholes to see treasure and looking for all the Staffordshire knots carved into the walls. In the afternoon we got the chance to try on real armour- chain-mail, helmets, shields and swords- it was so heavy. We had a great day seeing a real castle - just like the one in our class text.
