Class Visits
Stafford Castle (Y1)
Year 1 ventured back in time to a time where Knights guarded the castle.
We visited a local castle called Stafford Castle and were amazed that it had all the features we had talked about in school such as a moat, turrets and battlements. We also dressed up like knights and stormed the castle with the swords we had made at school.
After lunch we got to touch and try on real chain mail armour, hold shields and become kings and queens with our friends. The brass rubbings we did revealed some interesting pictures and patterns of monarchs, family crests and much more. A great day was had by all before we returned to the present day, 2025!
