Additional Funding / Pupil Premium 2024-2025
During 2024/2025, the school will receive additional funding under the title “Pupil Premium.” We have been given an additional £538,720 to spend on enhancing the children’s learning experiences.
This year we have planned to spend some of the money as follows:
- To provide all DAY school educational visits at no cost to parents and to subsidise ALL residential visits by at least 80%.
- To develop quality first teaching provision for all practitioners; this is realised by the utilisation of a Teacher Educator who devises bespoke CPD journeys for all staff and mentors Early Career Teachers.
- Continued investment in Accelerated Reader, MyOn, and Star Early Literacy to maintain the development of children's comprehension skills and wider reading.
- Purchase supplementary books, which match the phonics scheme, to support further reading at home for our youngest children.
- To provide additional SENDCo support to children and staff in ensuring that those with SEND receive an ambitious curriculum during their learning journey.
- To provide enrichment activities for the children to support their musical appreciation through the employment of a music specialist to deliver throughout the school.
- To ensure children are technologically competent and their skills are refined by the employment of a Digital Leader working with all classes in Key Stages 1 and 2.
- To provide themed days each half term, to celebrate different cultures and their celebrations and to broaden children's knowledge of the wider world.
- To heavily subsidise new school uniforms (jumper and tie) for every child registered at the school.
- To provide a rucksack for all children entering KS2 and a book bag to all children entering the EYFS and KS1 in September 2024.
We know that the children benefit greatly from this and enjoy the additional opportunities given to them through this funding.
