London (Y4)
Back where we started – we went back to the capital but this time with a difference!
At the start of the year, Year 4 visited Warner Bros. Studios as part of our learning about Harry Potter. Well, at the end of the year, we travelled back to the capital but this time to explore the major landmarks. We loved this residential as we travelled by train and Tube to get to some of the most amazing landmarks. We visited Buckingham Palace and walked along the Mall; we visited the London Eye and had a ride on it to take in the breath-taking views; we went to the very top of Tower Bridge and walked along the glass floor; we visited the Tower of London and heard all about its history; we travelled along the Thames by boat with the wonderful tour guide, taking in the Palace of Westminster, the Elizabeth Tower (you may know it as Big Ben) and the Globe Theatre; we saw the Coronation Coach at the Royal Mews; we stayed overnight and had the best breakfast ever! This truly was a magical trip! Surely it can’t be beaten next year… can it?
